Every year from May to August is the peak season for studying abroad physical examination。Beijing Entry-Exit Inspection and Quarantine Bureau yesterday suggested that students pay attention to make an appointment and prepare physical examination information。

Statistics from the Beijing International Travel Health Care Center, the designated physical examination unit for overseas travelers, show that the number of students studying abroad has increased by nearly 20 percent this year compared with last year。In June, for example, the average number of daily visitors to the health center reached 514, with a peak of 807。

Since May 21 this year, Beijing International Travel Health Care Center has been moved to Jinao International Building, 17 Madian East Road, Haidian District。According to reports, from now to August 31, on-site registration and reservation services will be carried out for people going abroad。During working days from Monday to Friday, medical staff will limit the number of customers going abroad for physical examination and vaccination according to the day's passenger flow and issue a license plate。The number plate is issued in the order of arrival on the day, one person is limited to take one, can not be taken on behalf of, with the number plate for entry procedures。For customers who are unable to pick up their number plates on that day, they can check their time by requesting a number plate appointment for another day within the week。

In addition, the health centre has brought forward the start of the morning to 7:30 am and suspended the lunch break。At the same time, the time for tuberculin (PPD) testing required by most international students has been increased from 8 to 11:20 on weekdays and from 13:10 to 15:30 on Mondays, Tuesdays and Fridays。For TB T-SPOT testing required by some overseas schools, applications are accepted from Monday to Thursday。

At the same time, the health center reminds those who go abroad to study that they must bring their ID cards, photos, physical examination requirements for applying to the school, English forms, Beijing Municipal Vaccination Card (small blueprint) and other documents during the physical examination。Since the examination results are valid for 1 year, students who intend to study abroad should apply for a medical examination in advance as far as possible, avoiding the peak season from May to August。
